Sioux City Explorers Announce Weekend Flood Relief Special

SIOUX CITY, IA. - In response to the major flooding affecting the Siouxland community, the Sioux City Explorers are lowering their reserved seat ticket price to $5.00 for this weekend's series versus the Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants. Friday and Saturday night games are scheduled for 7:05pm starts, while Sunday's game is at 6:05pm.

"Everyone in the Siouxland community has pulled together this last week to help those fight the rising waters and we would like to provide them an affordable night out at the ballpark to relax and ¬Ëget away'," stated Ashley Schoenrock, Sioux City Explorer's Assistant General Manager. "Our focus for the 2011 season is community giving and we feel this is the least we can do for those affected by the flood and those who have put in endless hours of sandbagging and moving."

Weekend happy hour will be taking place on Friday and Saturday night from 6:00pm to the 1st pitch on the BBQ Deck, where you can purchase domestic draft beers and Pepsi fountain drinks for only $1.00. Saturday night is Team Poster Giveaway sponsored by Pacific City Graphics, where the first 1,000 fans will receive 2011 Sioux City Explorers team posters. On Sunday, the Explorers will welcome the Challenger Little League out to the ballpark for a 2:00pm game, with the nightcap versus the Pheasants at 6:00pm.
