High scoring forward returns to AHL, rugged winger back after one month

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The East Coast Hockey League's Greenville Grrrowl have announced the recall of left wing Simon Gamache to the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves and the activation of left wing David Kaczowka off the injured reserve.

Gamache was assigned to the Grrrowl by the National Hockey League's Atlanta Thrashers from Chicago in January and has posted 19 goals, 19 assists, 38 points, 35 penalty minutes and a +4 in 31 games. He was named the ECHL's CCM Rookie of the Month in January.

Kaczowka was assigned to the Grrrowl by the National Hockey League's Atlanta Thrashers from Chicago in November and has posted one goal and 178 penalty minutes in 31 games.

The Grrrowl will play their first home game in 18 days tonight when they host the Mobile Mysticks at 7:05 p.m. It will be Mobile's first visit to Greenville since the 2000 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Grrrowl will also host the Augusta Lynx this Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and will visit the Charlotte Checkers this Sunday at 6 p.m. All games, and "The Grrrowl Hour" Mondays at 7 p.m., are broadcast on Newsradio 1330 & 950 WORD-AM and at grrrowl.com.

The first one-thousand fans who enter this Saturday's game will receive a free puck courtesy of Bell South, the Real Yellow Pages and Charter Communications. In addition, if the Grrrowl beat Augusta fans can redeem their ticket stub from the game at the BI-LO Center box office for a ticket of equal or lesser value to the Tuesday March 26th home game versus the Pee Dee Pride.

The Grrrowl are currently in first place in the ECHL's Southeast Division with 80 points and a 37-22-6 record.
