Left Winger will wear number 28

BILOXI, Miss. - The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced today they have claimed left wing Darren Martens off waivers from Pensacola.

Martens, 28, played 17 games with Pensacola this season picking up two goals and two assists to go along with two penalty minutes. The 5-11 and 197-pound native of Mossbank, Saskatchewan attended the Sea Wolves training camp last season.

"Martens is a good utility player," said Mississippi Coach Bob Woods. "He'll definitely help us with our short bench and I think he can do the job."

The Sea Wolves hit the ice tonight at 7:05 p.m. at New Orleans. Sea Wolves Countdown begins at 6:45 p.m. on flagship radio station News Talk 57 WVMI and across the internet at www.MsSeaWolves.com.
