Everett Silvertips News Release

KENT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips earned a point at Accesso Showare Center Saturday night, falling in overtime to the Seattle Thunderbirds by a 2-1 score.

Roan Woodward scored the game's first goal on the powerplay for Everett, powering through a Seattle defender and popping the puck over the shoulder of Thunderbirds netminder Thomas Milic for his second goal of the season.

It would take until the third period for the Thunderbirds to tie the game, as Kyle Crnkovic split the defense and potted a breakaway goal while on the powerplay 8:19 into the third period.

Though the Silvertips had a powerplay opportunity carry into the overtime period, the Thunderbirds managed to kill off the infraction. With play back at 3-on-3, a helter-skelter sequence of trading rush opportunities was finished by Gracyn Sawchyn, potting a breakaway goal for a 2-1 Seattle final.

Braden Holt stopped 27 of 30 in the game.

Everett turns their attention to the Portland Winterhawks Wednesday night at Angel of the Winds Arena. Tickets are available.
