
Silver Hawks' Owner Awarded Golden Kettle Award

South Bend, Indiana (August 28, 2013)- Silver Hawks' owner Andrew Berlin has aided in raising $153,333 for The Salvation Army Kroc Center in South Bend, Indiana and will be awarded the Golden Kettle Award on Thursday, August 29th by Majors Bob and Collette Webster during the Silver Hawks' game. Berlin was the Red Kettle Campaign Chair in 2012 and set a goal to raise $125,000 and exceeded that goal by raising an additional $28,000.
"Mr. Berlin's commitment to the positive transformation of our community was evident throughout the campaign and his hard work and enthusiasm made this fund raising effort a great success. The Salvation Army is proud to recognize Andrew Berlin for his outstanding contribution to our community." stated Major Bob Webster.
The funds raised during the Red Kettle Campaign are used for social services, food and financial assistance for those in need. Andrew Berlin will be awarded the gold kettle during pre-game and will be available for media requests during Thursday's game.
