Shorebirds Take It in Extras, 6-4

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Delmarva scored twice in the top of the 10th inning to take Wednesday night's ballgame 6-4 over the BlueClaws.

Sammie Starr homered with two outs in the 8th inning to tie the ballgame 4-4 off Luis Paulino after Lakewood took a 4-3 lead with two runs in the bottom of the 6th inning.

With the loss, Lakewood falls to 5th place in the South Atlantic League North Division-5.0 games behind the Hagerstown Suns for 1st place.

The BlueClaws and Kannapolis begin a four-game series Thursday night. Lakewood will send Ethan Stewart (4-9, 3.61) to the mound to battle Kannapolis' southpaw Chris Hanna (1-3, 3.32) in what will be Stewart's second start since coming off the disabled list for blisters on his throwing hand.
