Ramsey, Dykstra Lead Suns over Intimidators 5-4

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (76-51/34-24) scored late to break a 3-3 tie and overtake the Kannapolis Intimidators (57-71/24-44) in the series finale, 5-4, at Municipal Stadium on Wednesday Night.

Caleb Ramsey used his ninth triple of the season, third in two games, to drive in three runs for Hagerstown in the fourth inning. Cutter Dykstra's team-best 27th double scored two runs in the eighth inning to put the Suns on top for good.

Suns' starter Wirkin Estevez went five innings in a no-decision as Colin Bates (8-1) pitched the final two innings to secure the win.

Intimidators' pitcher Euclides Leyer threw seven strong innings but also did not factor in a decision. Reliever Daniel Webb (1-7) suffered the loss. Shortstop Chris Curry slugged his third home run of the series, while first baseman Leighton Pangilinan also went deep for Kannapolis in the loss.

The Suns will begin a four game series with the Delmarva Shorebirds (Orioles) on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. when RHP Taylor Jordan (2-2, 3.46) takes the mound in the series opener for Hagerstown.
