Memphis Redbirds News Release
Memphis Redbirds mascot Rockey celebrates his 11th birthday with mascot friend Sheldon from the Mississippi RiverKings hockey team during Sunday's June 29 game against the New Orleans Zephyrs. Sheldon was one of eight mascots who came to pal around with Rockey and cheer on the Redbirds. Other mascot friends included Cow from Chick-fil-A, Smarty from Memphis Area Teachers Credit Union, Working Money from First Tennessee, and Rockey's family, Mama Rock, Papa Rock, and Kid Rock. Rockey's friends presented him with several gifts on top of the dugout during a stop in the game, including bird seed from Working Money, some gummy worms, a cake, and a poster signed by some of Rockey's younger fans. The Redbirds won the day 3-2
