Fourth of July Celebration Ignites Beavers' Homestand at PGE Park

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Beavers begin an action-packed, three-game homestand at PGE Park against the Tacoma Rainiers on Friday, July 4, with a special Fourth of July Celebration featuring post-game fireworks and an appearance from nationally known entertainers ZOOperstars!

The Beavers celebrate Independence Day with the club's annual Fourth of July Celebration presented by Portland General Electric (PGE) at PGE Park. Highlighting the night's festivities are appearances from wild-n-crazy entertainment act, ZOOperstars! Following the game, fans will be treated to a special fireworks presentation taking place in center field. Both suite and club seat ticket-holders will have an exclusive opportunity to watch the fireworks from down on the field. Friday's activities at PGE Park begin when gates open at 5:30 p.m.

In a special afternoon game Saturday beginning at 2:05 p.m., fans are invited to bring their baseball-loving dogs to PGE Park for Bark in the Park presented by Health Net as the Beavers continue their series against Tacoma. Both dogs and their owners are invited to run the bases following game. The first 1,903 fans on Saturday receive a 2008 Beavers baseball card set presented by PGE.

The first two games of the series, on Friday and Saturday, against the Rainiers will be broadcast live on FSN.
