OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals return to Rosenblatt Stadium this Friday, July 4th, to open up an eight-game home stand. Friday's 6:35 p.m. game will be followed by the 24th annual Fireworks by Grucci extravaganza, highlighting a promotion-packed, seven-day home stand that includes a three-game series vs. the Memphis Redbirds and a five-game set vs. the Nashville Sounds. Here's a rundown of all the upcoming promotions:
Friday, July 4, 6:35 p.m.: Fireworks by Grucci is presented by the Omaha World-Herald, the City of Omaha, Star 104.5 and the Omaha Royals! Stadium gates open at 4:30 p.m. Enjoy the live music of The Side Effects' in the front plaza before the game. The National Anthem will be followed by the flyover of a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter, flown by members of the Nebraska Army National Guard. During the game vs. the Redbirds, BirdZerk! will entertain fans. The Confidentials will perform in concert from a stage in the right-center field bleachers in between the game and the best fireworks show in the Midwest! A $3 shuttle service will be running from Westroads and Oakview to Rosenblatt between 3:45-7:00 p.m. and back to the malls at the end of the night.
Saturday, July 5, 7:05 p.m.: The Independence Day celebration continues with a Werner Enterprises Fireworks show after the game, also presented by Q-98.5, WOWT and The City Weekly! The Royals will donate 50 cents from every ticket sold to this game to aid in the flood relief effort for the four Minor League Baseball cities affected in Iowa: Burlington, Des Moines, Davenport and Cedar Rapids.
Sunday, July 6, 1:35 p.m.: It's U.S. Bank Family FUNday, with clowns, face painting and kids invited to run the bases after the game, also presented by KGBI-100.7 FM and KPTM-Fox 42. All Royals Kids Club members receive a FREE ticket to the game, courtesy of SUBWAY! Plus, any fan bringing an Our Family Brand food item to the stadium gets a FREE General Admission ticket to the contest!
Monday, July 7, 7:05 p.m.: It's the series opener vs. Nashville and the sounds you hear are people cheering for the first Dollar Dog Night since May 19, with $1 hot dogs, courtesy of 89.7 The River and The Daily Nonpareil! It's also U.S. Cellular Dreams Come True Night - a lucky fan who signed up at a local U.S. Cellular store gets to be on field for the Royals batting practice, throw out a ceremonial first pitch and be the P.A. announcer for an inning!
Tuesday, July 8, 5:05 p.m. DOUBLEHEADER: Enjoy 2 games, $2 G.A. tickets and $2 malts on this $2 2uesday, courtesy of Valpak, Z-92 and The Reader!
Wednesday, July 9, 12:05 p.m.: It's a Business Person Special/Summer Day Camp day game, brought to you by 1110 KFAB and Strictly Business, featuring ½-price Omaha Steaks burgers! Fans will also enjoy the hilarious antics of the nationally-known mascot Rally, performing throughout the contest.
Thursday, July 10, 7:05 p.m.: It's Thirsty Thursday with $1 beer and Cokes during the game, courtesy of 96.1 The Brew, Action 3 News, The City Weekly and HereforBeer.com! Following the contest, enjoy a Werner Enterprises Fireworks show, plus live music with ELVIS in concert, presented by Two Fine Irishmen!
