Davidson Recalled, Albano Reassigned to Rancho

SALT LAKE CITY (July 2, 2008) - The Salt Lake Bees announced today that the club has recalled left-handed pitcher Daniel Davidson from double-A Arkansas and reassigned right-handed pitcher Marco Albano to single-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Davidson, 27, has appeared in nine games for the Travelers in 2008, owning a 0-0 record and 2.25 ERA. He returns to Salt Lake after a four-game stint with the Bees in 2006. The Panama City, Fla. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 13th round of the 2003 draft.

Albano, 24, made his triple-A debut with the Bees on June 28, his only game played for Salt Lake in 2008. He registered one strike out in one inning pitched. Albano owns a 2-3 record and a 7.05 ERA with 33 strikeouts in 25 games with the Quakes this season. The Melrose, Mass. native signed with the Angels in 2005, following four years as a utility player at Boston College.
