Bakersfield Condors News Release

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks have recalled C MacGregor Sharp from the Bakersfield Condors, their ECHL affiliate. Sharp is expected to play tonight as the Ducks host the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Ducks have also reassigned LW Ryan Donally from San Antonio of the American Hockey League to Bakersfield.

Sharp, 24, becomes the third Condors player recalled directly to the National Hockey League this season, joining G Justin Pogge and LW Kyle Calder, who is currently still with the Ducks. The rookie has gotten off to a strong start this season, ranking second on the team in scoring with 14 points (4g-10a) in 15 games. Among ECHL rookies, his point total is tied for fifth and his assist total is tied for second. Sharp made his professional debut at the end of 2008-09 by skating in six games with the Iowa Chops, Anaheim's AHL affiliate last season.

The Red Deer, Alberta, native had an accolade-filled senior season at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, leading his team in goals, assists, points and power play goals. He ranked 2nd in the nation in goals (26), and put up 50 points in 43 games. His Bulldogs advanced to the NCAA West Regional Final against Miami University, and he was named to the WCHA All-Tournament team in addition to being placed on the All-College Hockey News Second Team.

Anaheim opens up a seven-game homestand Thursay night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Donally on his way to Condorstown

LW Ryan Donally has been reassigned by Anaheim to the Condors from the San Antonio Rampage in the AHL. Donally, 24, is in his fourth professional season and has skated in 190 professional games, 124 of which have been in the AHL. He played four games this season with the Rampage, recording 16 penalty minutes.

Formerly a 3rd round draft choice of Calgary in 2003, Donally spent the first two seasons of his pro career in the Flames organization, splitting time between the AHL and their ECHL affiliate, the Las Vegas Wranglers. His best offensive season came in 2007-08 with Vegas, when he amassed 15g-22a-37pts in 53 games and added 176 penalty minutes. He spent all of last season with the Iowa Chops, recording 5g-4a-9pts and 159 PIM in 72 games.
