October 1, 2021 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Saskatoon Blades News Release
SASKATOON, SK - Tristen Robins is returning to the Saskatoon Blades.
The San Jose Sharks released their top prospect Thursday night and is expected to arrive in Saskatoon ahead of Friday's season-opening game in Moose Jaw. This comes after spending the last 10 days south of the border with the pro club.
The Clear Lake, MB product has become one of the WHL's most potent goal-scorers. Last season, Robins tallied 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points in 16 games, skating on a line with team-leading scorer Kyle Crnkovic and top rookie Brandon Lisowsky. He led the team in scoring the previous campaign, notching 73 points (33G-40A) in 62 games, which ultimately earned him the 2nd round selection to San Jose.
As a 2001-born forward, this is Robins' final year of WHL eligibility.
Saskatoon is on the road to open the 2021-22 regular season, making a stop in Moose Jaw on Friday night before the two squads head to Saskatoon for the Blades home opener on Saturday. Both games begin at 7:00pm, with all the action available on 600 CJWW radio and WHL Live.
