After compiling 31 runs on 37 hits over the first two games, the Baysox offense continued to abuse Curve pitching Sunday. Montanez came in to score on a single to right by Nolan Reimold and when the dust finally settled in the top of the second, the Baysox held a 7-0 lead.
Altoona got a run back in the bottom of the third on a groundout by Jim Negrych, but the Baysox answered with another run in the top of the fourth. Lou Montanez came up with the bases clear and hit his Eastern League-leading twenty-sixth homerun of the season to left-center field.
Montanez would push the lead to 9-1 in the top of the eighth with a sacrifice fly, giving him 97 RBI on the season.
