Seven Game Road Trip Begins Tonight In Manitoba

Winnipeg, Man.- With the All-Star break now behind them, the Rockford IceHogs begin the second half of the 2008-09 regular season tonight when they kick off a season long seven-game road swing against the Manitoba Moose at 7:30 p.m. at the MTS Center.

The second half begins with some good news for Rockford as both defenseman Jordan Hendry and center and team captain Tim Brent are expected to return to the IceHogs line-up after missing some time due to injury. Winger Jack Skille is expected to return ne earlier than Saturday.

Tonight's game is the first of two against Manitoba in Winnipeg against the North Division leading Moose. In their only other meeting this season, Manitoba slipped by Rockford 2-1 on Halloween at the Rockford MetroCentre. The two clubs will also match-up Friday night at the MTS Center.

With Pascal Pelletier on recall to the Chicago Blackhawks (NHL), Rockford signed winger Judd Blackwater to a PTO earlier Today. Blackwater is expected to make his AHL debut tonight with Rockford.

Next Home Game: Friday. Feb. 13 vs. Peoria Rivermen. Rockford returns home at 7:30 p.m. The IceHogs come home after a 19 day hiatus to take on the Rivermen. The first 1,500 kids to the game 14-and-under will receive an IceHogs Youth Jersey courtesy of Feldco Windows and Doors, FOX 39 and 104.9 FM, WXRX.
