BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators and the SOS Shelter have teamed for a spaghetti dinner, set for Monday, Feb. 2 from 6-8 p.m. at the Binghamton Regency, to raise money to benefit the victims of domestic violence.

Select B-Sens' players will serve as waiters for the event, serving meals and socializing with guests. Tickets are $15 for adults and children age 10 and older, and $10 for children under the age of 10. Patrons can purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win a team-signed B-Sens jersey. Raffle tickets are $5 each, three for $10 or seven for $20.

This marks the second year that the B-Sens have teamed with the SOS Shelter to raise money for victims of domestic violence. Nearly $1,400 was raised at last year's event, with over 100 dinners being served.

The SOS Shelter is Broome County's only domestic violence shelter, whose mission is to assist families who experience, or are threatened with domestic violence, and to increase the community's awareness of this pervasive problem. The primary focus of the shelter is to provide supportive and secure surroundings for a woman and her children, to facilitate their solution of the immediate problems, and to aid in planning for the long-term needs.

For more information on the event or to purchase tickets, contact the SOS Shelter at (607) 748-7453 or at debl@sosshelter.org.
