Shawn Weller Reassigned To Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators, in conjunction with the Ottawa Senators, announced today that left-winger Shawn Weller has been reassigned from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL to Binghamton.

Weller registered two points (1+1) in Elmira's 6-4 win over Cincinnati on Wednesday night.

The Glens Falls, N.Y., native has two goals, five assists and 22 penalty minutes in 38 games with Binghamton this season. He scored the game-winning goal and added one assist for two points in Binghamton's 6-4 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Jan. 16.

Weller was Ottawa's first third-round pick (77th overall) in the 2004 NHL entry draft.

Binghamton (23-15-3-3, 52 pts.) takes on the San Antonio Rampage (20-27-0-1, 41 pts.) tonight at 8 p.m. Tune into 680 WINR-AM or 1430 WENE-AM 30 minutes before game time for Countdown to Faceoff with Grady Whittenburg, Voice of the B-Sens.
