Kolanos clears waivers, reassigned to Aeros

HOUSTON, Texas - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned center/left wing Krys Kolanos, after clearing waivers, to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kolanos, 27 (7/27/81), has recorded six points (3-3=6) in 19 games with the Wild this season. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound native of Calgary, AB, has tallied 22 points (15-7=22) in 19 games with Houston this season. Kolanos was the Phoenix Coyotes first-round pick (No. 19 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

Bart Hull, brother of famed NHL player Brett Hull and son of Bobby Hull, will join Joe O'Donnell in the broadcast booth for Friday Night Ice on Fox Sports Houston as the Aeros' take on the Binghamton Senators. Bart has experience broadcasting hockey games at a number of levels including the ECHL. He was a standout running back for the Boise State University Bronco's football team in the early 1990s, and also spent time with British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League.
