PHILADELPHIA - The Dover Air Force Base All-Stars will take on the McGuire Air Force Base All-Stars in their second annual charity ice hockey match at the Wachovia Spectrum at 12:00 PM this Saturday, January 31.

Teammates from Dover AFB and McGuire AFB worked together to raise money for the Combined Federal Campaign and the Air Force Assistance Fund, which supports Air Force family members. All the proceeds, including ticket sales, will be donated to both of these organizations.

Dover's hockey team features players from active-duty's 436th Airlift Wing, the Air Force Reserve's 512th Airlift Wing and base civilian personnel. With players from the active duty, Guard and Reserve, the McGuire team has been practicing for the match since October.

Media are invited to cover the event, but because of the early start time, it is requested that RSVPs be made to ensure smooth access to the game. Contact information is above.

The match is being held prior to the Phantoms game against the Albany River Rats, which is scheduled for 7:05 PM. It's Backwards Night at the Wachovia Spectrum, and fans are encouraged to participate by wearing their hockey jerseys and Phantoms gear backwards. The best backwards outfit as judged by the Phantoms Phan Patrol will win a team-autographed stick.

Comcast-Spectacor and the Phantoms are now offering an amazing $10 adult ticket price for all remaining home games for the Phantoms final season at the Wachovia Spectrum, while all tickets for kids 14 and under are now $5. Tickets are available at the Wachovia Complex box office, online at Phantomshockey.com, or via ComcastTIX at 1-800-298-4200.
