WINSTON-SALEM, NC (JUNE 28, 2011) - Winston-Salem and Lynchburg started the ballgame on time, but driving rain started after a scoreless top of the first inning and continued to pour, causing the suspension of Tuesday night's game at BB&T Ballpark.
The game will be resumed on Monday, August 15 at 6 p.m. when the Hillcats next visit Winston-Salem. Upon completion of that game, the regularly scheduled game will follow and it will be a seven-inning contest. Tickets for Tuesday's game should be exchanged at the BB&T Ballpark Box Office for any Sunday - Thursday game remaining in the 2011 season, excluding July 4.
Winston-Salem heads on the road for a three-game series at Potomac starting Wednesday night at 7:05. RHP Justin Collop (2-3, 4.11) starts for the Dash against RHP Trevor Holder (3-8, 5.95). The Dash return home on Saturday to open up a seven-game home stand against Southern Division rivals Salem and Myrtle Beach.
