Lonnie Chisenhall 2-For-4 in Major League Debut

Kinston, NC - Former K-Triber and Newport, NC native Lonnie Chisenhall went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI in his Major League debut Monday night. His hitting helped Cleveland beat Arizona 5-4. Chisenhall was a Carolina League All-Star for Kinston in 2009, hitting .276 with 18 home runs and 79 RBI in 99 games. Chisenhall was picked out of Pitt Community College in the first round of the 2008 draft.

Chisenhall joins Cord Phelps (09) and Greenville, NC native Alex White (10) as former K-Triber's called up to the Cleveland Indians this season. Ten former K-Tribers are on the Cleveland Indian's active roster including Grady Sizemore (02), Fausto Carmona (04), Rafael Perez (05), Tony Sipp (05, 08), Josh Tomlin (07,08), Vinnie Pestano (08), Frank Herrmann (08). More than 140 former K-Tribers have made it to the Majors.

The K-Tribe finishes up a homestand Tuesday night at 6:30 pm against Potomac. The Indians return home for the Holiday this weekend as Kinston will be in town July 2nd - 4th and July 6th - 8th. Don't miss fireworks on July 2nd and the 4th!
