Sens drop tough decision to Baysox

Bowie, MD - The Harrisburg Senators were held to just three hits in a 4-1 loss to the Bowie Baysox, Tuesday at Prince George's Stadium. The Senators have lost three straight games.

Bowie played the long ball in the early going. Sebastien Boucher drilled a solo homer in the 1st inning, his third round-tripper in as many games, to put the Baysox ahead, 1-0.

The Senators struck back with a run in the top of the 2nd. Ofilio Castro drew a leadoff walk and went to third when Devin Ivany singled two batters later. Matt Rogelstad followed with a sacrifice fly to the warning track in center to tie it at 1-1.

Ryan Finan blasted a solo home run to right in the 2nd inning to make it 2-1. Boucher hammered another solo shot in the bottom of the 3rd to extend the margin to 3-1.

Blake Davis kept the onslaught going with an RBI single in the bottom of the 4th to make it 4-1.

RHP Adrian Alaniz took the loss to stay winless at 0-3. RHP Jason Berken notched the win to go to 8-3 for the Baysox. RHP Julio Manon delivered his 24th save of the season.

The Senators dipped to 56-45. Bowie advanced to 59-45.

The Senators and Baysox continue their four-game series Wednesday at 7:05 PM. LHP Justin Jones (2-0, 5.56 ERA) takes the mound against Bowie RHP Brad Bergesen (11-3, 3.05 ERA).
