New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, and Fidelity Investments today presented free baseball equipment to the YMCA of Greater Londonderry, a branch of the Greater Manchester YMCA. After receiving new gloves, baseballs, hats and batting gloves, 25 children from the YMCA of Greater Londonderry were also treated to a surprise baseball clinic at Merchantsauto.com Stadium led by Fisher Cats players and coaches.

"The Fisher Cats are proud to partner with Fidelity to help spread the joy of playing baseball to children," said Fisher Cats Vice President of Business Operations Tim Restall. "The "Inspire the Future" program is a tremendous asset to help encourage kids to participate in our national pastime, and we are pleased to do our part by supplying the tools these kids need to get out and 'play ball'."

"Fidelity is pleased to partner with the Fisher Cats in this effort to 'Inspire the Future'", said Public Affairs Director Joe Murray. "The purpose of this program is to develop not only skills, but the self-esteem and confidence that kids need to find success and fulfillment in whatever they do."

The surprise donation and clinic are parts of Fidelity Investments' "Inspire the Future" program. "Inspire the Future" was designed by Fidelity to provide young people with the resources they need to develop and enhance their potential for future success in athletics and arts. The children who took part in today's free baseball clinic will be recognized for being part of the "Inspire the Future" program during a pre-game ceremony at Merchantsauto.com Stadium on Tuesday, July 29 prior to the Fisher Cats/Portland Sea Dogs game.

The Fisher Cats host the Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, tonight at 7:05pm at Merchantsauto.com Stadium. The first 1,000 kids in attendance will receive FREE Fisher Cats Wristbands. For tickets, call (603) 641-2005 or visit www.nhfishercats.com.
