Harrisburg Senators News Release

Altoona, PA - The Harrisburg Senators won 6-3 in the completion of a game suspended yesterday, and then lost 2-1 in Tuesday's regularly scheduled game against the Altoona Curve.

The game, which restarted in the top of the fifth with Altoona leading 2-1, saw the Curve take a 3-1 lead after six innings. In the seventh inning, Kevin Keyes scored on an error by left fielder Willy Garcia. One batter later, Harrisburg tied the game at 3-3 when Pedro Severino doubled home Matt Skole. Severino then snapped a 3-3 tie with an RBI groundout in the ninth inning, and Stephen Perez hit a two-run single to add insurance to Harrisburg's lead. Overall, Mario Lisson was 3-for-4 with his first home run for Harrisburg. Colin Bates pitched the fifth and sixth innings, allowing one run. Derek Self picked up his first win of the season by pitching two scoreless innings and striking out four. Abel De Los Santos converted his third save in as many tries with a perfect ninth inning.

The regularly scheduled game lasted just seven innings, and Harrisburg's bats went quiet following a run in the first inning. Keyes doubled home Caleb Ramsey for his seventh RBI of the season. Ramsey and Ricky Hague both contributed two singles to the Senators' cause, but Harrisburg left five runners on base. Hague also stole two bases while Ramsey and Tony Renda each swiped one. Paolo Espino earned a complete game by pitching all six innings for Harrisburg. The Senators' starter allowed two runs on just three hits, including a go-ahead solo homer in the fifth inning, and struck out two batters. Fifty-six of Espino's 90 pitchers were strikes.

The Senators finish a three-game series in Altoona and a seven-game road trip Wednesday at 6 p.m. with Tim Alderson on the hill. The game can be heard starting with the pregame show at 5:45 p.m. on Fox Sports 1460am and iHeart Radio.
