LAST GAME: The B-Mets scored four runs on six straight hits in the fifth inning, beating the Erie SeaWolves Monday night 4-3 at NYSEG Stadium. The SeaWolves left 13 men on base, batting 2-for-9 with runners in scoring position. Erie stranded a runner in eight of the nine frames, including the bases loaded in the seventh inning. The B-Mets left a season high nine men on base. Jon Velasquez got the last four outs of the game, earning his third save in as many tries this season. Five different B-Mets had multiple hits, while Brandon Nimmo drove in multiple runs for the first time this year. The two teams have now split the first four games of the season series, with Binghamton winning each of the first series openers.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Matt Koch makes his third start of the season and second consecutive against the SeaWolves. The righty allowed eight hits and five runs in 4.2 innings pitched in Erie, taking the loss. He surrendered a home run to Dean Green. Koch has failed to make it through the fifth inning in each of his first two outings, allowing a total of 15 hits in the two starts. Tuesday will be his first career start at NYSEG Stadium.

ERIE STARTER: RHP Derek Hankins makes his third start of the season and second consecutive against the B-Mets, squaring off against Koch for the second time. Hankins got the win in the first go around, allowing a run on seven hits over six innings pitched. He walked one while striking out two. Hankins took the loss in his season debut against Trenton. Opponents are hitting .317 against the starter through his first two appearances. The 31 year-old spent last season with Toldeo (AAA), going 7-14 with a 5.15 ERA in 28 appearances. He spent 2008-2010 in the Eastern League with Altoona, and 2013 with the SeaWolves. This will be Hankins seventh career appearance vs. Bingamton, and first road start of the year.

MY SAVIOR: Despite Binghamton's struggles in the bullpen, the B-Mets lead the EL in saves, successful in five of six tries. Jon Velasquez is 3-for-3 in save opportunities, after having one from 2011-2014.

NOT GOING THE DISTANCE: Seth Lugo became the

second consecutive B-Mets starter to work in to the sixth inning Monday night. The last seven B-Met starters have failed to get through the sixth inning. Binghamton's starters have made it to the seventh inning in three of the first 12 games.

MULTIPLE RBI: Brandon Nimmo drove in two runs Monday night for the first time in 40 games (July 31, 2014 vs.

Bowie). His two run single was the difference in the game.

ERRORS: The B-Mets snapped their error streak by playing clean defense Monday night. Binghamton had committed an error in their previous six games (eight errors total). The B-Mets have errors in seven of their 12 games this season.

TWO FOR ONE: The B-Mets have avoided hitting into a double play in back-to-back games for the first time this season. It last happened 31 games ago (August 23-24, 2014). Binghamton has hit into a double play in 24 of the 31 games since.

HITLESS: Dustin Lawley's current 0-for-17 streak is his longest since a 19 at-bat hitless streak, July 25-30, 2014.

BEST FOR LAST: Binghamton has allowed a run in the ninth inning in each of their last four games, going 2-2.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets wrap up their home series with the Seawolves Wednesday night at 6:35 PM. RHP Rainy Lara gets the start for Binghamton against RHP Chad Green. The B-Mets then head off to New Hampshire and Portland for a seven game road trip to close out the month.
