BINGHAMTON, NY - The Binghamton Mets overcame a pair of deficits before eventually falling to the Harrisburg Senators, 4-3, on Friday night at NYSEG Stadium. Kevin Plawecki launched his first Double-A home run and collected three RBI in the losing effort.

After three scoreless innings, the Senators cracked the scoreboard in peculiar fashion in the fourth. Caleb Ramsey reached to start the inning on a booted ground ball by third baseman Brian Burgamy. Cutter Dykstra followed with a single up the middle.

With two aboard, Matt Skole dumped a single into right field. Ramsey stopped at third and Dykstra halted at second, but Skole kept running. With the Senators' cleanup hitter trapped and being forced to second by Matt Clark, Ramsey dashed home safely with the game's first run.

Binghamton answered back with a more traditional run in the fifth. Plawecki led off the frame by launching a 1-0 pitch from Harrisburg starter Brad Meyers over the left-field wall. Plawecki's first home run of the season tied the game at one. The B-Mets threatened by putting two more aboard in the inning, but reliever Matt Grace struck out Darrell Ceciliani to preserve the tie.

The Senators took the lead back with a blast in the sixth. Following a leadoff single by Kevin Keyes, Michael Taylor took Bowman deep to left-field, his second homer of the series. Taylor's long ball gave Harrisburg a 3-1 lead.

Grace kept the lead intact by working around a one-out single in a scoreless sixth and a two-out hit in a shutout seventh.

Plawecki struck again to knot the game in the eighth. Neil Holland took the reins on the mound and walked Burgamy before a single by Reynolds. With two aboard and two outs, the B-Mets catcher shot a line drive off Holland's glove. The drive bounced into center and brought home both runners, tying the game at three.

For the second time, Harrisburg had a rebuttal. Cutter Dykstra started the ninth by singling off Chasen Bradford. Dykstra swiped second, took third on a single, and came home when Ricky Hague bounced a single through the hole on the right side.

With a 4-3 lead, Warner Madrigal closed the ballgame with a perfect ninth inning, earning his first save of the season.

Holland (3-1) earned the win despite allowing two runs in one inning of relief in his first blown save of the season. Bradford (1-2) allowed the go-ahead run on three hits in the ninth.

Bowman surrendered three runs (two earned) on seven hits over six innings in the no-decision. Meyers, pitching at Double-A for the first time in three years, gave up one run on three hits over 4-2/3 inning.

The B-Mets (16-15) continue their four-game series against the Senators on Saturday afternoon at 1:05 PM. RHP Rainy Lara toes the rubber against RHP Paolo Espino. The Horizons Federal Credit Union Pregame Show begins at 12:50 PM on Newsradio 1290 WNBF.
