O'Brien and Leroux Joins Thunder; Roller and Pinder to Triple-A

The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, have announced multiple roster moves prior to Friday's ballgame against the Reading Fightin Phils.

INF Kyle Roller and RHP Branden Pinder have been transferred to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre from the Trenton Thunder roster.

C/INF/OF Peter O'Brien has been transferred to the Thunder from High-A Tampa and Chris Leroux has reported after being outrighted on May 5. He has been transferred to the Thunder from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

O'Brien, the New York Yankees 2nd round pick in 2012, is tied for third in all of Minor League baseball with 10 homers and is transferred after hitting .321 in 30 games with the Tampa Yankees 24 as a catcher and six as a right fielder.

Roller was named Eastern League Player of the Week from 4/21-4/27 and was batting .385 with 9 HR and 23 RBI in 21 games. Since being transferred from Extended Spring Training on April 13, Roller leads all of Minor League Baseball with an .808 slugging percentage.

The Trenton Thunder active roster now stands at 25 players.

The Thunder continue their three-game series against Richmond Saturday at 7:05 p.m. (post-game fireworks) and finish the series Sunday at 1:05 p.m. (drawstring bags to the first 1,000 kids ages 5-15). Tickets are available at trentonthunder.com/tickets or by calling (609) 394-3300.
