Harrisburg Senators News Release

The longest Senators winning streak since 1993 came to a crashing halt on Thursday night at Metro Bank Park with a 10-5 loss to New Hampshire. Harrisburg falls to 30-21 on the season while New Hampshire improves to 35-18. Even with the loss, the Senators have won 13 of their past 15 games.

The Sens pitching staff issued ninth walks, a season high, with four of them scoring while the Sens offense outhit the Fisher Cats 12-8.

New Hampshire took a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning off of Sens starter Ryan Tatusko. Joel Carreno sailed into the 4th inning when the Sens tied the game on a double-steal, with Bill Rhinehart stealing home and Archie Gilbert stealing second.

After New Hampshire took a 2-1 lead in the top of the 5th, the Sens scored three times in the last of the fifth to take a 4-2 lead. New Hampshire turned a lead-off walk into a run in the 6th, and then scored three in the 7th to take a 6-4 lead. They tacked on three more in the 8th for a 10-4. The rally for New Hampshire made a loser of Tatusko and made Yohan Pino a winner for the first time this year.

The Senators twice left the bases loaded in the game and stranded 12 base runners altogether. Steve Lombardozzi, Josh Johnson, Tyler Moore, Archie Gilbert and Alex Valdez all had two hits in the game.

Harrisburg now hits the road to Erie to start a seven-game road trip. Game one of the series is Friday night at 7:05 p.m. The game can be heard on 1460am The Ticket, on the Internet through the Senators website, and on your ipad or iphone beginning at 6:50 p.m.
