Today, the SeaWolves go for a series win as they take on the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) in the final game of a four-game series at NYSEG Stadium. Last night, the Howlers struck early and often as they clobbered the Mets 12-3. It was the SeaWolves second-highest run total of the season and the nine-run win equaled the 'Wolves largest margin of victory. The win puts the 'Wolves at three games under .500 and in fourth place in the EL West, 6.5 games behind first place Harrisburg that has won a league-high 10 straight games. The SeaWolves will see first place Harrisburg this weekend at Jerry Uht Park...Lefty Casey Crosby takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 10th start and first against Binghamton. Crosby has been very solid over his last four starts going six innings in all four. Crosby finished May 1-1 with a 2.48 ERA in five starts. He took a no-decision in his last start against Reading. In the game, the lefty tossed six shutout innings allowing three hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Crosby left the game leading 1-0 but the bullpen could not hold on as the 'Wolves lost the game 2-1...RHP Tobi Stoner takes the mound for Binghamton making his second start. He made three starts with Class-A St. Lucie and was 1-1 with a 7.80 ERA. In his last start against Altoona on May 28. In the game, Stoner allowed six runs on seven hits with two walks and a strikeout in five innings of work...The Mets are 11th in the league with a .228 team batting average. Binghamton's pitching staff ranks 10th with a 4.41 team ERA...The SeaWolves are looking for their second road series win of the season. Erie's only other road series win was on the last trip in Bowie.
