Harrisburg Senators News Release

On Wednesday Night in Binghamton, the Harrisburg Senators fell to Binghamton 4-1. The loss snaps the Sens three-game winning streak and it is also the first win for Binghamton in five games between the two teams. The Senators seven-game road trip comes to an end on Thursday morning at 10:35 a.m. and with a win, they will finish the trip with a winning mark.

The story on Wednesday was starting pitching as Erik Davis pitched well for the Sens in taking the loss, going six innings and striking out eight. He allowed a single run in the third and one in the sixth. Meanwhile, Tobi Stoner was just as good for the B-Mets pitching six innings for the win and allowing just a single run.

Tyler Moore hit his 12th home run on the season the Sens lone run. Only one time in the game did the Senators have two base runners at the same time and that happened in the first inning. Moore and Rhinehart both had two hits.

Matt Chico was impressive in two innings of work striking out five, however, Salomon Manriquez hit a two-run home run to give the B-Mets a 4-1 lead in the 8th inning.

The game on Thursday morning can be heard on 1460am The Ticket, on the Internet through the Senators website, and on your ipad or iphone beginning at 10:20 a.m.
