Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a two-game skid as they take on the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) in the middle game of a three-game series at Blair County Ballpark. Last night, Altoona struck early for a 6-0 lead and never looked back as they dealt the SeaWolves their second straight loss. Seven of the 10 runs allowed in last nights game came with two outs. The loss dropped the SeaWolves to two games under .500 and into fourth place in the EL West. The win for the Curve snapped a three-game losing streak...The SeaWolves turn to left hander Casey Crosby tonight making his 11th start and third against the Curve. He tossed seven shut out innings at Altoona on 4/30 to earn his first win of the season. Crosby has been very strong over his past four starts. He earned his second win in the last three starts in his last outing at Binghamton. He allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits with six walks and six strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. Erie won the game 8-2. Crosby has gone six ore more innings in his last five starts. He has allowed two run over his last 24.2 IP and five runs over his last 30.2 IP...RHP Bryan Morris takes the mound for Altoona making his ninth appearance, fifth start and second start against the SeaWolves. Morris has appeared out of the bullpen in his last three appearances with a pair of saves. His last appearance came on June 3 against Portland where he allowed a run on five hits with no walks and a strikeout in 3.1 innings of work. His start against Erie came on April 7 at Jerry Uht Park. He allowed two runs on four hits with five walks and three strikeouts in 4.1 innings in a no-decision.
