
SeaWolves Snap Two-Game Slide on Friday Night

The SeaWolves used the long ball on Friday night at FNB Field as they snapped a two-game slide with a 4-1 win over the Harrisburg Senators.
The SeaWolves took the lead in the top of the first inning against Harrisburg starter Alex Troop. Dylan Rosa led off the game and blasted a solo home run, his seventh, for a 1-0 lead.
Gage Workman led off the top of the second with a base hit to center, extending his hitting streak to six straight games. Workman moved to second on a wild pitch and to third on a groundout. He scored on a Corey Joyce base hit.
The 'Wolves struck for the third straight inning when Parker Meadows clobbered a solo home run to right for a 3-0 lead. The home run was Meadows' 15th and it traveled 442'.
The lone blemish for the Erie pitching staff came in the bottom of the fourth inning when Andrew Young led off and homered to right off of Erie starter Ty Madden. Young has homered in three straight games for Harrisburg.
The game's final run came in the top of the fifth when Dane Myers led off and crushed a 418' solo home run to left-center for a 4-1 lead. It was the 22nd home run on the season for Myers and his third in the past three games.
Madden (2-0) earned the win allowing a run on four hits with a walk and five strikeouts in five innings of work. He's now 2-0 with a pair of no-decisions in four Double-A starts.
Troop (7-4) took the loss allowing four runs on eight hits with a walk and eight strikeouts in five innings.
A trio of Erie relievers in Brendan White, Adam Wolf and Gerson Moreno held the Senators off the scoreboard for the final four innings. Moreno worked a 1-2-3 ninth to earn his eighth save.
