ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION... Tonight, the SeaWolves begin a three-game series with the Reading Phillies (Philadelphia Phillies). The R-Phils swept the 'Wolves in their last series meeting (July 4-6). It was the only time in 2007 that the SeaWolves were swept by an opponent. Reading has taken four of the first six games of the 12-game season series against Erie. The 'Wolves are coming off of a series victory against the Bowie Baysox and have on six of their last seven games. With an Erie victory on Sunday and an Akron loss, the 'Wolves are now just two games behind the first place Aeros in the Southern Division. In addition, a Reading loss yesterday put the R-Phils five games behind the SeaWolves in the standings in third place...The Phillies have won four of their last five games and are coming off of a series victory against Harrisburg where they took three of four...RHP Eddie Bonine is making his first start of the season against Reading. Bonine was given extra rest following the All-Star break because of a bruised foot he suffered in his last outing against Akron. Bonine has picked up wins in four straight starts and has won five of the last six games he's pitched. He is currently tied for second in the league with nine wins...LHP Matt Maloney is making his second start of the season against Erie. He took a no-decision in his last outing going four innings, allowing a run on three hits against Erie. He walked one and struck out five on July 5 in Reading. Maloney has won three of his last four starts.
