August 30, 2015 - Eastern League (EL1)
Erie SeaWolves News Release

The SeaWolves dropped the series finale to the Harrisburg Senators, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon at Jerry Uht Park.

Erie struck in the first inning for the second straight day. Wynton Bernard led off with a single. JaCoby Jones followed with a base hit to right. Bernard moved to third on the play and scored on an errant throw making it 1-0 SeaWolves. With two outs, Jason Krizan singled home Jones making it 2-0.

The lead held until the seventh inning when Erie went to the bullpen and summoned Montreal Robertson. With one out, Reegie Corona walked and Adrian Sanchez singled putting two on. Wilmer Difo singled home Corona making it a 2-1 game. Brian Goodwin followed with a sacrifice fly to left, plating Sanchez, tying the game. Harrisburg then took the lead on a two-out, two-run home run to straight away center off the bat of Chris Bostick making it 4-2.

The SeaWolves closed the gap in the ninth against reliever Abel De Los Santos but could not complete a comeback. Wade Gaynor led off the inning with a solo home run to left, making it a one-run game at 4-3. Erie would get no closer.

Robertson (2-4) took the loss allowing four runs on three hits with a walk and a strikeout in an inning of work.

SeaWolves starter Chad Green was fantastic in a no-decision. He fired six scoreless frames, allowing five hits with no walks and six strikeouts. It was his fifth straight start with six or more strikeouts and his second straight game without allowing a walk.

Bernard finished the day going 3-for-5 and now has 150 hits on the season. He is 13 shy of tying the SeaWolves single-season hit record of 163 set by Omar Infante in 2001. He's the fourth batter in team history with 150+ hits in a season.
