
Sea Dogs to Host Survivor Night on May 20th

Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will host its own version of the CBS hit TV show Survivor on Wednesday, May 20th at 6:00 PM when the Sea Dogs take on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at Hadlock Field. Survivor Night at Hadlock Field will feature ten contestants competing in eight challenges throughout the evening. Additionally, Maine's own Survivor winner Bob Crowley will throw-out the ceremonial first-pitch and will assist in the Survivor competition. Ten contestants will be divided into two tribes, throughout the course of the game contestants will compete in eight challenges. After each challenge, the winning team will earn immunity while the losing team will be forced to vote off a team member. Each inning a challenge and an elimination vote will take place. At the end of the evening, fans will have the final say on who wins Survivor: Hadlock Field. Contestants will compete in such challenges as the lobster toss, a Sea Dog Biscuit eating contest, musical chairs, and other events. The winner will receive four tickets to the August 30th Red Sox game against the Toronto Blue Jays with limo service to and from Boston.

If you would like to be one of our ten Survivor contestants, please send an email to cbaez@seadogs.com with your name, phone number, birthday, and tell us in 50 words or less on why you would like to be a Sea Dog Survivor contestant. Emails must be received by 5:00 PM on Friday, May 15th. Contestants must be 21 years-old or older to participate.
Bob Crowley from Gorham, Maine was the One Million Dollar Survivor winner from Survivor: Gabon in 2008. At 57, he is the oldest winner in the history of Survivor, and he also tied the record for winning the most consecutive challenges. He currently teaches physics at Gorham High School.
The Portland Sea Dogs will return to Hadlock Field on Tuesday, May 19th for a seven game homestand beginning with a 6:00 PM contest against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Tuesday, May 19th.
