
Play Catch at Hadlock Field

Portland Sea Dogs News Release
Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will be opening Hadlock Field early to allow fans to play catch on the field prior to the Sea Dogs Memorial Day Game at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 25th against the Connecticut Defenders. The Sea Dogs will also host a pre-game play catch day at Hadlock Field on Sunday, August 9th prior to the 1:00 PM Sea Dogs game against the Bowie Baysox. Play catch at Hadlock Field is presented by Mercy Hospital.
The Sea Dogs will open Hadlock Field at 10:00 AM on both May 25th and August 9th to allow fans with tickets to those games to play catch on the field. The on-field catch will conclude at 11:30 AM so that the grounds crew can prepare the field for that day's 1:00 PM game. Fans will not be permitted to leave the ballpark and re-enter once they are inside the gates.
Fans must have tickets to either the May 25th 1:00 PM Sea Dogs game against the Connecticut Defenders or the August 9th 1:00 PM Sea Dogs game versus the Bowie Baysox
The first 500 children who participate in the on-field catch will receive a Sea Dogs logo baseball courtesy of Mercy Hospital. All fans should provide their own gloves.
Due to the new Sea Dogs Father's Day 5K road race on Sunday, June 21st, there will be no Father's Day Catch at Hadlock Field. The May 25th and August 9th dates will be the only opportunities to play catch at Hadlock Field in 2009.

The Portland Sea Dogs will return to Hadlock Field on Tuesday, May 19th fro a seven game homestand beginning with a 6:00 PM contest against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Tuesday, May 19th. Tickets are available for all remaining 2009 Sea Dogs' home games. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs ticket office at 207-879-9500 or order online at www.seadogs.com.
