GREAT START TO MAY:The Sea Dogs earned their first shutout of the season on Friday night, and continue their three-game series with the Reading Fightin Phils on Saturday night at FirstEnergy Stadium...Portland has won two series openers this season - both against Reading...The Sea Dogs conclude their three-game series with the Fightins on Sunday afternoon, and visit NYSEG Stadium for the first time this season on Monday night, beginning a four-game set with the Binghamton Mets.

HANGING ZEREOS: William Cuevas (3-1) fired five scoreless frames and fanned six, leading the Sea Dogs to a 3-0 win over Reading in the series opener...Cuevas yielded only 3 hits, one walk and threw 45 of 73 pitches for strikes...Pat Light earned the hold by fanning five over 2 IP and Dayan Diaz pitched the final two innings for his second save of the year...David Chester blasted two-run homer off losing pitcher Zach Eflin (2-1) in the second...Luis Martinez added a sacrifice-fly in the eighth.
