The Senators had their mini two-game winning streak snapped on Saturday with a 2-1 loss to the Bowie Baysox. The Sens played their third straight one-run game and dropped to 3-7 in one-run games while dropping to 10-12 overall.

Brian Rauh made his second start for the Senators and pitched seven strong innings, allowing just two runs on nine scattered hits. He lowered his ERA from 21.60 to 8.71 with the quality start. Bowie loaded the bases against him in the first inning but a double-play ground ball followed by a groundout limited the damage to just a single run. Bowie scored their second run with two outs in the fifth when Mike Yastrzemski tripled and Glyn Davis singled him home.

Meanwhile the Senators had chances but only scored a single run on an rbi fielder's choice off the bat of Tony Renda in the third inning which tied the game 1-1. Caleb Ramsey hit a double to lead off the game but was left stranded at third. Wilmer Difo doubled leading off the fifth inning and eventually moved to third before being thrown out on a groundball to short stop. The Senators had one final chance in the ninth inning when Brian Goodwin reached on an error to start the inning but Mychal Givens retired the final three batters in a row to secure his third save.

The Senators had just six hits in the game with Caleb Ramsey and Shawn Pleffner both chipping in with two hits. Tony Renda and Wilmer Difo had the other two hits. The Senators were shackled by winning pitcher Elih Villanueva who moves to 3-2 on the year for Bowie.
