Tom Windle left the game after two innings as he issued seven walks while Portland handed the Fightin Phils (12-9) their second straight night as the Sea Dogs (9-13) won 4-1. Portland retired the final 15 Fightin Phils batters to end the game.

Windle struggled in the first inning but did not give up a run. He walked four batters and received an outfield assist from Aaron Altherr to help keep the Sea Dogs scoreless. Justin Haley of the Sea Dogs left after facing two batters due to an injury. Windle would leave after two innings as he walked a season-high seven batters without giving up a hit.

Portland got on the board first in the top of the third inning off reliever Anthony Vasquez as Keury De La Cruz hit a RBI single to score Oscar Tejeda. Reading tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the third inning as KC Serna hit a RBI triple off reliever Simon Mercedes to score Gustavo Pierre who doubled to lead off the inning.

Vasquez left after five innings in relief as he allowed just one run off three hits with three strikeouts. Mike Nesseth (0-1) entered the game in the top of the eighth inning. Mercedes left the game for Portland after 4 2/3 innings. Nesseth allowed three runs in the top of the eighth inning Keury De La Cruz broke up the 1-1 tie with a two run double. Luis Martinez added insurance with a RBI single.

Jonathan Aro earned his third win of the season as he pitched four shutout innings in relief for Portland.

The Fightin Phils honored Dan Held and Scott Rolen before the game as they were inducted into the Reading Baseball Hall of Fame.

The Fightin Phils and Portland Sea Dogs will wrap up their three-game series on Sunday afternoon beginning at 1:35 pm. Fans can listen to the game on CBS Sports Radio 1240 AM/98-5 FM and fightins.com beginning at 1:05 pm. Fans can also watch the game on MiLB.tv beginning at 1:35 pm.
