NEWS AND NOTES

HOME SWEET HOME?: The Sea Dogs are back at Hadlock Field for a four-game homestand against the Harrisburg Senators (Nationals affiliate). While Portland still owns the league's worst home record (19-35), the 'Dogs have won seven of their last eight home games heading into tonight's contest. Tonight's game features a matchup of two Eastern League All-Star starting pitchers, William Cuevas and Austin Voth.

WILD, WILD WEST: Tonight marks the start of a 22-game stretch against Western Division opponents. Portland is 5-10 against the west so far this season and has not faced a Western Division opponent since June 14th (at Bowie). The 'Dogs just wrapped up a 42-game string against Eastern Division opponents, finishing 14-28 over the six-week stretch.
