Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a two-game slide as they take on the New Britain Rock Cats (Colorado Rockies) in the opening game of a four-game series at New Britain Stadium. Yesterday afternoon, the SeaWolves dropped the rubber game of a three-game series to Reading 9-8. It was the second straight day the Fightin Phils walked off on the SeaWolves. Three of the last four road losses for Erie have been of the walkoff variety...Today is Erie's first game against a Colorado Rockies affiliate. Erie Colorado was last in the Eastern League in 1994-98 (New Haven), a year before Erie joined the league... Righty Tommy Collier takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 19th start of the season, 12th with the SeaWolves first against the Rock Cats. Collier has allowed two runs or fewer in eight of his 10 starts. Erie is 6-4 in games he has started. Collier took a no-decision in his last start against Richmond on July 25. In the game, he allowed three runs on eight hits with a walk and five strikeouts in six innings of work. Erie won the game 5-4...RHP Shane Carle takes the mound for the Rock Cats making his 20th start. Carle earned a win in his last start against Reading on July 25. In the game, he allowed three runs on seven hits with no walks and two strikeouts in six innings.
