NEWS AND NOTES

WHAT A WEEK: Tonight, the Sea Dogs host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats for game two of their four-game set. Portland scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth last night to shock the 'Cats and win game one 4-3 on Tzu-Wei Lin's walk-off single. The 'Dogs have won four of five games this week and three on walk-offs. Mike McCarthy faces New Hampshire for his second straight start, on Sunday he faced the 'Cats and was perfect through 5.1 innings. John Anderson, who faced McCarthy on Sunday and threw a quality start, goes tonight for New Hampshire.

#WALKOFFCITY: Portland's last six home wins and seven of their last eight have all been walk-offs. 43.8% of all the Sea Dogs' home wins in 2015 (7-of-16) have come via walk-offs. Plus, the Eastern Division won the Sullivan Tire All-Star Classic at Hadlock Field on July 15th with a walk-off home run by Brian Pointer in the Home Run Derby Shootout. Since the stretch of walk-offs begin on May 23rd, Portland is 8-19 at Hadlock Field.
