LAST GAME: The B-Mets had their six-game winning streak come to end Thursday night, falling 7-3 to Trenton at Arm and Hammer Park. John Gant allowed a season-high seven runs in 5.1 innings, suffering his fifth loss of the season. LJ Mazzilli led the way offensively for Binghamton, who did not score after the third inning, going 4-for-4. The B-Mets went 1-for-13 with RISP, leaving 12 on base.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Robert Gsellman is making his 10th start with Binghamton and second consecutive against Trenton. Gsellman allowed two unearned runs and just two hits in seven innings against Trenton his last time out. The righty has won back-to-back B-Met starts for the first time this season, allowing one earned run in 14 innings during that time. Gsellman is 18th in the EL in ERA since June 12th (3.00) and 10th in innings pitched.

TRENTON STARTER: LHP Caleb Smith is making his 18th start and third against the B-Mets. He faced Binghamton in his most recent outing, allowing four runs and eight hits in four innings. It was the southpaw's first loss in six starts, snapping a four start winning streak. Smith one-hit Binghamton over 6.2 innings in his first go-round, earning the win.

CONFORTO CALLED UP: Michael Conforto will become the 56th player to play with the Binghamton Mets and make his MLB debut with the New York Mets in the same season.

LL COOL J: LJ Mazzilli has reached base in 21 of his last 22 games, batting .316 since June 30th. More recently, Mazzilli is 12-for-24 over this last five games, with two four-hit games. All three of his four-hit games have come with Binghamton.

LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN: The B-Mets are off to a 14-7 start in July, leading the league in team ERA (2.23) and ranking second in team batting average (.276) for the month. Altoona leads the way, batting .297 in the month. Binghamton also has the second most home runs (17) in the month, one behind Bowie. A win Friday would give Binghamton their most in a single month this season.

CATCHING UP: Binghamton has allowed more than four runs in back-to-back games for the third time since June 3rd. The B-Met pitching staff has surrendered 12 runs and 18 hits over their last 12 innings pitched.

WHERE'D YOU GO?: Binghamton hasn't attempted a stolen base in seven games. The B-Mets rank last in the league in both steals and stolen base attempts. Binghamton is 5-for-11 in stolen base attempts over their last 21 games.

THREE IS A MAGIC NUMBER: Binghamton has allowed more than three runs in just three of their last 16 games. The B-Mets are 39-13 when holding their opponent to less than four runs in a game this season.

CLOSING TIME: Jon Velasquez has earned six saves in the last 19 days and has been successful in each of his last 11 save opportunities. Velasquez has allowed one run in 16 ninth innings, while striking out 16. He has a 7.20 ERA in all other innings of work (5 IP, 4 ER, 1 K). Paul Sewald has been successful in his last 14 save opportunities.

FIRST IMPRESSION: Joe Benson has reached base in each of his first 10 games with the B-Mets, notching a basehit in nine of them. Benson has reached base multiple times in six of the 10 games.

DIG THE LONGBALL: Binghamton has hit 16 home runs over their last 18 games, after hitting one in their previous seven. The B-Mets now lead the league with 66 home runs. Binghamton is 39-14 when homering.
