SATURDAY IN THE PARK: The Portland Sea Dogs have won eight of their last tengames, and continues their six-game homestand on Saturday night against the Akron RubberDucks (Indians affiliate) at Hadlock Field...Portland is 3-1 on the homestand, and their 25-23 is their best record this half...With last night's win, the 'Dogs clinched their first season-series victory against Akron since 2012...RHP Bryan Mata makes his eighth Double-A start.

'DOGS HOLD ON FOR THE WIN: Akron built a 4-1 lead after two innings, but the 'Dogs scored single runs in four straight innings to take the series opener, 5-4...C Austin Rei delivered the game-winning RBI with a single in the sixth inning...RHP Denyi Reyes (7-9) worked six innings on eight hits and fours to secure the win...RHP Eduard Bazardo earned a hold with two innings of work, and LHP Dedgar Jimenez pitched a perfect ninth for his fifth save.
