HAVING FUN IN READING : RHP Teddy Stankiewicz makes his Double-A debut in the series finale of a four-game series between Portland and Reading on Sunday afternoon...With a win today, the Dogs will take 3 of 4 from the Fightins - Portland has not won a 4-game set in Reading since August 25-27, 2011...The Sea Dogs begin the second leg of their roadtrip on Monday night in Trenton against the Thunder (Yankees affiliate).
NICE DEBUT KEVIN : RHP Kevin McAvoy worked five strong innings on two runs (one earned), two hits, three walks and four strikeouts, as the Sea Dogs beat the Fightins 6-2 on Saturday night...Portland had 14 hits, all singles, striking for five consecutive two-outs hits in the fourth inning to snap a 2-2 tie...Cole Sturgeon added a Double-A career-high three hits in the win...Mike Miller, Rainel Rosario, Sturgeon, Aneury Tavarez and Jantzen Witte all had RBI.
