Schnell Recalled , Marshall Loaned to Wilkes-Barre

WHEELING, WV ‚¬"The Wheeling Nailers announced Thursday that forward Ryan Schnell has been recalled by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. In addition, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has signed forward David Marshall to a professional tryout contract.

Schnell, 22, earns his second recall to the Penguins after appearing in three contests in January. He recorded 19 penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating. The native of Cary, Illinois, has posted four points (2g,2a) and amassed 131 penalty minutes in 28 games for the Nailers this season.

Marshall, 25, has registered 21 points (10g, 11a) in 26 appearances with Wheeling this season. The Buffalo, Minnesota native has appeared in 21 AHL games this season with the Rochester Americans and the Worcester Sharks. Prior to Wheeling, Marshall also spent parts of two seasons with the Lake Erie Monsters. He has totaled 12 points (7g,5a) in 46 AHL games.
