
Forward Spencer Assigned to Blades from Binghamton

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that forward Tim Spencer has been assigned to the team by the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.
Spencer joins the Everblades having split the 2010-11 season so far between Binghamton and the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. The 25-year-old has skated in 15 games with the Senators collecting one assist and amassing 54 penalty minutes. Spencer has also seen action in three games with the Jackals picking up an assist and totaling 23 PIM.
Last season the Carnduff, Saskatchewan native also split the season between Binghamton and Elmira logging 35 games with the B-Sens collecting one goal and recording 141 PIM and notching two assists and 98 PIM in 22 games with the Jackals.
Spencer has also seen action in the ECHL with Las Vegas in 2008-09 where he tallied eight points and 196 PIM in 56 games and with the Alaska Aces in 2007-08 where he registered 15 points and 130 PIM in 63 games as a rookie.
Prior to joining the professional ranks the 6-foot-4, 230 pound winger spent two seasons at the junior level with Moncton and St. John's of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he totaled 37 points (13g, 24a) and 290 PIM in 131 games.

The Everblades return to action on Friday, February 11, 2011 when they travel to Cincinnati to take on the Cyclones at 7:30 p.m. from US Bank Arena.
