Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the second straight night, the Kalamazoo Wings will battle the Trenton Devils at the Sun National Bank Center. All-time, Kalamazoo is 3-3-0-0 against Trenton; however, the K-Wings have dropped three straight to the Devils dating back to last season,
Despite the loss to Trenton last night, Kalamazoo remains tied with the Cincinnati Cyclones for second place in the North Division. The division race is starting to heat up, as the K-Wings and Cyclones lead the Toledo Walleye, who are in fourth place, by a single point.
Using a suffocating defensive effort, the Devils limited the K-Wings offensive chances last night. Goaltender Shane Connelly stopped all 27 shots he faced to earn his first shutout of the season and the fifth of his career. Tonight will conclude a four-game home stand for Trenton, who is 2-1-0-0 during the current stretch.
