Hartford Wolf Pack News Release

HARTFORD, February 9, 2015: Global Spectrum, operators of the XL Center and Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced that the Wolf Pack's home game Saturday, February 28 against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be "Salute to Heroes" night.

The Wolf Pack will be honoring the 35th anniversary of the USA's "Miracle on Ice" Olympic Gold Medal on February 28, as well as the public service heroes who keep local communities safe on a daily basis.

In tribute to the 1980 USA Olympic heroes, the Wolf Pack will wear a specialty Miracle on Ice-themed jersey on February 28. The jerseys will be auctioned off in the XL Center atrium during the second intermission, and the winning bidders will be handed the jerseys by the players, on the ice, immediately after the game. Proceeds from the jersey auction benefit House of Heroes CT, an organization that provides no-cost home repair services to military and public service veterans and their families.

Fans will have a chance to meet 1980 USA Olympic Gold Medalists Dave Silk and Steve Janaszak at the February 28 game. Also, the first 2,000 fans into the game that night will receive a Wolf Pack flag.

Tickets for the Salute to Heroes Night game, and all 2014-15 Wolf Pack home games, are now on sale at the XL Center ticket office, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499. Wolf Pack tickets start as low as $12 for youth 12 years old or younger.
