Stolarz Recalled by Flyers, Ouellette Recalled by Phantoms

Lehigh Valley, PA - The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have recalled from loan goaltender Anthony Stolarz. Meanwhile, the Phantoms have recalled from loan netminder Martin Ouellette from the Reading Royals of the ECHL and have returned on loan goaltender Connor Knapp to the Royals.

A 21-year-old netminder from Jackson, New Jersey, Stolarz is in the midst of his first professional season and has compiled a 7-10-1 overall record to go along with a 3.04 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in 22 appearances with Lehigh Valley. He made his professional debut on October 18th in a 4-2 setback at the Adirondack Flames and earned his first professional win with a 36-save shutout in a 4-0 triumph over the Worcester Sharks on November 21st. The 6'6", 220-pound netminder recorded a season-high 44 saves in a 2-1 shootout victory over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on December 13th and earned another shutout win just six days later with a 32-save blanking of the Hershey Bears on December 19th.

A second-round selection (45th overall) by Philadelphia in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Stolarz will be available for Tuesday's game between the Flyers and Canadiens in Montreal and will wear uniform No. 79.

Meanwhile, a 23-year-old goaltender from Saint-Hippoyte, Quebec, Ouellette will return to Lehigh Valley for his fourth stint with the Phantoms this season. In the midst of his first professional season, the 6'2", 194-pound netminder has produced a 3-2 record, 2.55 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in six games with Lehigh Valley and has amassed a 14-6-2 record, 2.77 goals-against average and .913 save percentage in 22 games with the Royals.

A seventh-round selection (184th overall) by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Ouellette spent the last four years at the University of Maine where he compiled a 28-33-14 overall record to go along with a 2.52 goals-against average coupled with a .913 save percentage. During that time, he was named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team.

Finally, a 24-year-old netminder from York, New York, Knapp returns to Reading after serving as the back-up goaltender in yesterday's 5-4 overtime victory at the Hershey Bears. A 6'5", 221-pound netminder, Knapp has amassed a 16-7 overall record to go along with a 2.85 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in 25 appearances with the Royals.

The Phantoms return to PPL Center this Friday, February 13th when they welcome the Binghamton Senators to downtown Allentown. All fans in attendance this Friday will receive a FREE Phantoms cap presented by Service Electric.
